I’m a DIY pro – easy hacks to get your bathroom in order using cheap Dollar Tree buys

WHEN it comes to fixing up our bathrooms, most of us think we’ll need to spend thousands on things like cabinets and finishes.

The truth is, however, there are a lot of ways to spruce up the space without spending a fortune.

One home and DIY expert named Sarah Jane, whose YouTube channel Chic On The Cheap has nearly 550k subscribers, shared her favorite Dollar Tree bathroom organization hacks—and they’re all super cheap.

The first step to organizing your bathroom, Sarah said, is to empty it out and clean it.

“Doing this allows you to look at the area in a new way and basically gives you a fresh canvas to work with.

“And then like an artist, you get to paint the picture of what you want the space to look like and create your vision.”

Once you’ve taken inventory of everything you have in the bathroom, Sarah said you’re ready to start organizing.

The first product she recommends purchasing is Dollar Tree’s vinyl top liner, which costs less than $2 a piece and will protect all of your cabinet interiors.

She purchased it in a gray marble print.

“Not only does it look pretty, it’s also really easy to work with and it’s going to shield all of your drawers from any spills or stains.

“And another thing that I love about this liner is it keeps whatever bin or organizer that you put in your drawer in place so it doesn’t slide around when you open.”

Once you’ve lined your drawers, Sarah said you want to organize the spaces where you’ll be putting your everyday essentials.

She recommended purchasing Dollar Tree’s food storage boxes, which cost $1.25 for two.

“These are perfect for storing hair bands and bobby pins, and they have these cool lip lock lids to keep everything nice and secure.”

Her third must-have item is a plastic flatware storage tray.

“This is awesome for organizing toothbrushes and toothpaste, and other daily essentials.”

She placed the tray in front of the food storage boxes and neatly added all of her contents inside.

Another bargain, it only costs $1.25.

To further compartmentalize your space, you’ll want to buy the $1.25 drawer organizers.

“They are fantastic and come in a few different shapes and sizes.

“They have little grips on the bottom and a no slip surface on the inside,” she said, meaning that nothing will be wobbling around as you open the drawers.

The organizers come in large sizes, like 13 inches, so you can stick your larger-bottled face creams and washes inside of it.

After tackling her essentials drawer, she moved on to her makeup storage.

“These clear drawer organizers are going to help give you that high-end home edit look at a fraction of the price.”

She said that Dollar Tree is the best place to purchase the product, as it will give you the best bang for your buck.

The transparency allows you to easily see what makeup you have on hand and complete your beauty routine.

Sarah suggested stacking the organizers as well to build a sort of leveled, riser look.

The DIY organizer went on to list multiple other Dollar Tree products she swears by, like lidded clear containers, book bins, plastic caddies, and wired cabinet shelves.
